The bowl is too small for a typical shaving wafer. The wooden-handle brush is very light weight.

This is a very nice set. The bowl is thick and nice quality. It is just pretty small to make a nice foam. I wanted to store my soap in the bowl and it is too small for that. Would work better if just using the bowl for working up the lather without storing the soap in it. I just didn't want to use it that way. My fault really.
